Eff, Att, and Rew's Tecmo Superbowl Records

The place in which the Tecmo God's watch and laugh

2009 - Update Archive

2/2/09 - My Bengals and Steelers seasons are complete with Cinci ending in a playoff loss and Pittsburgh going the distance. In my Steelers season, I broke a few unlikely defensive records as I slaughtered my old rushing defense record by nearly 300 yards, and I topped my points against record by the 49ers (44) by 5, dropping the record to 39. One of these days I just may go a season without allowing points. I have a new Broncos season off to a 3-0 start. Site is fully updated.

Speaking of the Steelers, Superbowl 43 was incredible. Just, wow.

2/1/09 - I did a large update for the "Mini-Bios" section on the Personal Records page after realizing this site is over 6 years old and had tons of old content in the bios. I am also considering adding a page or two on the site to split some content more efficiently. Adding a page for only our update archives is highest on the list of ideas. As for my Tecmoing, I completed the Bengals season and am in the playoffs with a Steelers season. The current standings are updated, and the records will be updated once the Steelers season is complete. And speaking of the Steelers, I can't wait for the Superbowl today!

1/26/09 - Well, I came close to 200 wins in a row, but came up just short as the Bills nipped me in overtime in week 16. I ended up 15-1, then beat the Raiders and lost to the Oilers in the playoffs. My streak ended at 197. Next up are the Bengals. Site updated.

1/21/09 - Finished my 10th season of "Generation 3" with a full run of 19-0/Superbowl. With this season, I reached my 1000th regular season win since I started tracking these records. Additionally, I extended my winning streak to 183 games (including playoffs). However, I have a challenge ahead as I use the Colts next season, so I need to go 16-0 and win a playoff game to reach my goal of 200 wins in a row. My history with the Colts says is it plausible, as in Generations 1 and 2 I went 16-0. However, I did not win the Superbowl either time. A tough challenge ahead! Site is updated.

P.S. Barack Obama is now our active president. Wow. Quite a historic day just passed.

1/12/09 - Site updated. Happy new year!

2008 - Update Archive

12/21/08 - I have not played Tecmo recently, but Rew has made a surprising return and with a bang. He has broken several passing records, had his first 16-0 season, and is doing dangerous things with Barry Sanders in his current Lions season. The website is updated.

11/14/08 - Quick update: I finished my 49ers season as the first two should have gone: undefeated through to SB victory. It was a very fun season, and a few of my own records were bested. The most notable record was points against as I only gave up 44 points the entire season. That beat the record from my "historic" second generation Giants season by a whopping 23 points. This was the most consistent defensive effort I've ever had during a Tecmo season. The site is fully updated, and I have a career-best winning streak active going into my new Cowboys season.

11/13/08 - A few more seasons completed by both of us. Att finished the Chargers season 15-1 and won the Superbowl. He also went on to an undefeated Packers season with a SB victory. I finished both a Giants and a Bills season undefeated, each with SB victories. Fewer records to mention these days. A notable one being my upping the ante of the QB Rating record with QB Bills. The site is fully updated. Att's got the Vikings next and I've got my beloved 49ers.

11/9/08 - Several seasons have been completed by both Att and I. Notable mentions are Att's Bears and Colts seasons. He broke about a dozen records with the Bears (and stole a ton of points from me in the standings) and he also managed 16-0 and a Superbowl victory with the lowly Colts (Corts). He must have used the Bodragon. Also, he increased his personal best winning streak record by 14 wins... until he just lost with the Saaaaan Dieeeeego... Super Chaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrgers. As for me, I am about to begin my 4th season in Generation 3. I'm closing in on 1,000 games played. I'm Batman.

Because of all of the points changes, the current standings are an estimate. I need to re-calculate all of the points, but that's work. Some humorous moments included a game during my Redskins season in which both quarterbacks threw 4 interceptions. Another funny one was during Att's Chargers season where Bubby Brister broke the record of interceptions in a game with 6. I mean.. what I meant to say.. wha ha happen was... can't do it. The website is fully updated.

11/4/08 - Att and I completed two more seasons. Both Rams teams went 16-0 with a Superbowl win. Following those seasons he had the Patriots and I had the Eagles. Surprisingly, he went 16-0 and won the Superbowl. He's Batman. I went 16-0 and then played a frustrating game against the Raiders in the Superbowl and lost by two. God damn punt fumbles for touchdowns. As for records, my Eagles went ape shit offensively and broke both the total yardage and total points records. Other misc. records were broken as well. Site is fully updated. Next seasons are Att with his favorite Bears (daaaaa Bears) and me finishing Generation two with Jet Favre and the Brets.

11/2/08 - Att and I completed our seasons (Seahawks and Cowboys, respectively), both 16-0 and Superbowl victories. Atter had three overtime victories during his season and somehow managed to return to the Tecmo world by running the table with the crippled Seahawks. Att and I both have our next seasons with the Rams. No records, the website is updated.

11/1/08 - A surprising development in our little world of Tecmo as Atter has revived his Tecmo Career for the first time in... who knows how long? 3, 4, 5 years? He has started his Seahawks season 3-0, and I am 5-0 in my Cowboys season. Additionally, I have changed the template of the website and am considering including content on the currently empty "WebsAlbum" page. I've also added a "members" page. However, it is not open membership. Att, Rew, and myself are the only people likely to be members. I may consider a limited membership for others, so if you're interested, e-mail me at phoenixshredds@yahoo.com.

10/26/08 - Patriots Season completed at 15-1 and a Superbowl victory. Nice accomplishment for such a shitty team, and I was 15-0 but lost Marc Wilson for the final game, had defensive key players fall into bad or average, and couldn't move the ball against the Bengals. I got my revenge the next game, though, as I played the Bengals in the Divisional Playoff game and whooped 'em. Everything updated, no records.

10/21/08 - Three weeks have passed and I have completed 5 seasons with on and off spurts of playing. Notable records are receiving yardage (both single game and season) and receiving TD's for Sterling Sharpe, as well as a few other miscellaneous records. I was worried I would lose all of my files as my computer crashed a few days ago and wouldn't load the operating system. However, after 6 hours of working at it, I got it up and running and now have the thing running as well as ever.  So, with that said, happy Tecmoing is in my future. Well, actually, put that on hold. I'm using the Patriots this upcoming season.  Wish me luck... and survival. Nonetheless, the site is fully updated.

As a side note, I downloaded a 32 team 2008 NFL ROM. It's very neat and loosely follows the original Tecmo style of rating. However, the ratings are way too high. Every team is a powerhouse. So, I'm working on a project (with aid from profootballreference.com and NFL.com) to fully update and re-rate everything to appropriately meet the original TSB gaming feel. I have two teams remaining in the AFC and then will partake on the NFC. A few roster changes and players falling on IR may require me to adjust a few things, but all in all, it's going very well. I'll make sure every detail is as accurate as I can manage. This is probably going to be based on mid-season rosters.

10/2/08 - I completed the Seahawks season 14-2 and lost the AFC Championship game. I also completed a season with the Browns 16-0 and won the Superbowl. No records are broken, but I had a game with 0 yards given up by the Browns which makes them the 4th team to pull it off. Qb Browns would have been added to the list of QB's with a Least Interception Percentage of 0, but the final play of the season I was dumb enough to throw one up in the endzone and get picked off. Dur! Lol. Anyway, the site is updated, next season with the Packers.

9/30/08 - The Raiders season was completed at 16-0... and a Superbowl.. loss. I pulled a Patriots, or as my girlfriend jokingly said, "The Patriot Act! Bahaha!" Neal Anderson, Brad Muster, and the Bears were on steroids. That's all I can say. As for records, all of the touchdown and yardage rushing records were broken thanks to Bo. I didn't throw a pass until mid-season, and Bo stayed healthy longer than I've ever experienced. However, he had a bout of bad condition over the second half and missed 2-3 games late in the season. Regardless, he still broke records galore. The next season is with the miserable Seahawks and is well underway at 9-1 (Chiefs beat me... if I play the Raiders and Chiefs each twice in a season with a horrible team.. well, do the math). Site is updated with quite a few records.

9/27/08 - The Giants season is complete at 16-0 with a Superbowl victory. This season was the type where if it wasn't pure and utter domination, it was only.. well, domination. The only close game was the NFC Championship against the 49ers, winning by a TD score, though most of the game I was up by multiple scores.  One record was accomplished as I topped my own Giants record of most points forwarded by a healthy 20, upping the ante to 871. Someday, I bet one of us will score 1,000. I was 5 points from the biggest scoring differential as well (the record is 784, I had 779 this time around).  The defense was always dominant, though the cpu always pulls their shenanigans. The rushing defense was in the 900's and the passing defense was just a hair over 1,000. Good, solid stuff, but not near the potential. If we kept track of safeties, I bet this team would hold the record. Either way, it was nice to get a flow of 19 victories without interruption again. I should be able to do that with just about every team, every season... but again.. late season cpu shenanigans.

The next season is with Bo and the Rrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaiddddders. If he stays healthy, we could see some crazy numbers. But he never does. He's Bo. Plus, if Bo is in bad and Marcus is in good or excellent, he gets the ball. I don't play for records, but if they happen, cool. Site is updated.

9/26/08 - Finished the Vikings season with a similar story as always: 15-1, Superbowl Champs. One record was broken by the cpu for most interception yards in a season by D. Waymer. This Vikes defense was a blast, and this entire team was on a tear, especially defensively. Unfortunately, a few late season collapses (The Bears' Neal Anderson exploded for 404 yards on 9 carries and gave me my only loss) really hindered any chances at team records. And if you don't think I can stop the run, well, the games before and after that Bears game were total shut down performances by my defense. Neal just had one of those cpu-on-steroids games where they outrun your defense. If you've ever played late in season mode, you know what I'm talknig about: The blur!

Next season is exciting: The New York Giants. They closed out my "Generation I" by setting a new standard on many team records, so we'll see what I can do this time. No more 15-1, dammit! The website is updated.

9/23/08 - Finished the Falcons season 15-1 and won the Superbowl but no records this time around. The next season will be with the Vikings. Site is updated.

9/22/08 - Just a quick update to the standings as my season is dragging along more slowly.  See that one loss? The Raiders. Again. And only in week 4.  Man, I have lost my touch. I need to go watch some replays from TSB league championship games to refresh me on the nuances. Apparently, the Raiders are my new Chiefs. Bah! And I still hate playing the Chiefs. I guess it doesn't help when you only have one good player on defense.. and he's almost always in bad condition. Primetime my ass. More like, turf toe time..

9/21/08 - Obviously, I've gone from dormant to obsessed. I completed the Bills season and to my surprise there are 5 broken records. Moreover, some of them are by quite large margins. The records for yards-per attempt and reception (Passing and Receiving) were broken, and by 5 and 7 yards, respectively. Additionally, this second shot with the Bills led to an even more explosive offense than my previous record setting season. The Bills leap-frogged their own record in total offense by 99 yards, and now the record is within 77 yards of 6,000. The other two records were scoring and total touchdowns by Thurman Thomas, topping Neal Anderson by a pair of scores. However, Neal still holds the rushing TD record of 69.

Though the nice numbers were had by the Bills offense... I really do not like their defense. For a team of this strength, it's actually quite weak. Though I managed a solid pass defense (led by many-hundreds of yards over 2nd place), the rush defense was second to last. Sure, much to my blame. However, the Bucs defense I just used with only Haddix to keep it from imploding? Yeah, they gave up about 2700 total yards. The Bills just gave up over 2200 rushing yards alone. Thank God I didn't play a few more great running backs or Att's worst rushing defense record may have been in jeapordy. Which leads me to the flaw on my record. I was in solid control of a game late in the season against the Raiders, but we all know that no lead is safe against them. Thanks to 4th quarter turnovers and Bo Jackson's jet-pack, they got within striking distance.. and struck through the air as time expired to top me by 3 points. I didn't even see that one coming. However, I got my revenge in the playoffs.

Anywho, the website is fully updated with records and there is a new "Previous Season" tracker on this page below the "Current Season Standings"

9/20/08 - A season a day... I have completed the Bucs season, and though it was the best overall defensive performance since my "return," I had a 3 point loss to Detroit, and then got shattered by the 49ers in the NFC Championship game. They simply threw too much firepower at me, forced fumbles for touchdowns, and intercepted un-interceptable balls (damn Testeverde, or as my uncle calls him, Intercepteverde). So, 15-1 and 1-1 in the playoffs. The only record was Gary Anderson with 32 rushing attempts in a game. The next season will be with the Bills (oh those Bills special teams!). Site is updated.

9/19/08 - I already finished the season with the Chiefs and the story is the same as the Chargers: 16-0, Superbowl victory, and no records broken. The next season will be with the Buccaneers. Site is updated.

9/18/08 - I decided to go ahead and stick with the Chargers, but had to start a new season. I went 16-0 and won the Superbowl. However, I had a few scares during the regular season against the Chiefs (as always) and Raiders (damn Bo). Somehow, I managed to pull off the W's. No records were broken during this season, and I have started a new season with the Chiefs (thank God I don't have to play them). I have jumped out to a 6-0 start. The website is updated with the latest information.

9/17/08 - Well, here we are nearly three years down the road. Tecmo has been completely neglected and abandoned... until now. I have gotten a random urge to resurrect both my Tecmo career and this website. The odds of getting Att and Rew involved is very low, but at least I can bring this thing back to life.

Some of the pages had been flawed and/or empty the last few years. I discovered the reasoning was ridiculous: the page titles were too long. Haha. So, I have corrected the issue and have all the records back on the site. Now I'm going to go play a few exhibitions to get my Tecmo skills back up for a new season (I doubt I will continue my long abandoned Chargers season.. if it is even still accessible). Regardless, the Effmeister has returned to the world of Tecmo.

2005 - Update Archive

10/14/05 - Three quarters of a year later, I finally complete my Colts season.  Again, I go 16-0 and then lose in the playoffs... giving up a record 527 yards on the ground in a 56-28 loss to the Raiders.  How could I blow it that badly, you ask?  You use the Colts defense in the playoffs against Bo and Allen in good/excellent (with the cpu giving them the ball 95% of the time) and you'll know.

Unfortunately, I thought I saved a snapshot of the stats but didn't.  Therefor, I don't remember how many yards passing they had (for the total-offense record) but nonetheless, it was very very little.  I only remembered their rushing yards, as it is.  I now have a Lions season coming up individually, and Andrew and I will be playing another pair of seasons on my NES (like our Packers/Dolphins one).  Why so long since last update?  Well, forgetting and having a girlfriend kind of distract you from things like Tecmo.  But nonetheless, here I am.  And I love my Tecmo.  As a side note, my apologies as a few of our pages are down.  I will work on getting them back up and functioning properly.

P.S. To the morons who signed the guestbook (not including those who actually leave intelligent and/or supportive messages) claiming our records are "weak," you forget: We can reach the astronomical records too.  But to reach most of the records you guys speak of, you have to play cheap (ala get onside kicks, run back to your 1, then give it to Bo. As an example of rushing yards).  We play the games straight up with a clearly stated set of rules we follow to make it a bit more challenging.  So, please refrain from the "I have your records beat" posts as they are irrelevant, retarded, and will be deleted.

P.P.S. Thanx to the more intelligent posts on the guestbook.  If you still see your message on the guestbook from this date and prior, it probably means it's an example of an acceptable and/or appreciated message.

1/24/05 - How about this... I managed to blow it again.  I completed my 49ers season 16-0 just like in Generation I... and managed to lose in the divisional playoff... just like in Generation I.  Why the Sam Hell do I keep having great regular seasons with them... and then get hit with disappointment in the playoffs?  The culprits were the Eagles in Gen I and this time around... Att's favorite Bears.  In this one it was 14-0 before my offense even touched the ball (credit a RB on the juice and a fumbled KR for a TD).  It was 28-28 after 3, with me kicking off in the 4th. Bears scored a TD eventually, but I blocked the XP. However, it didn't matter because on the 2nd or 3rd play from my ensuing drive, I fumbled and they returned it to near the endzone.  A goalline stand held them to a FG, but with less than a minute left and down 37-28, my chances were all but gone. The game ended 37-35 Bears.  Damn fumbles did me in.

Anywho, there are some new records.  I set a new standard with Montana as he stomped on Att's old Qb Rating record of 266.8 w/ Simms by over 9 points.  Montana also pushed aside another Att/Simms record of yards per completion, tied Att/Deberg for 0% Ints, and was inches from my own newly set comp% record (missed by .2).  Rice also tied Att/Baker's receiving TD record.  Everything is updated. Dater ludes.

1/14/05 - Well, look who's back from the dead.  I've updated a few records and a few little things around the site.  However, being we have all been relatively inactive in Tecmo, there wasn't much to update.  Maybe we'll get something rolling around here again.  Until next time... Happy Tecmoing.

2004 - Update Archive

2/27/04 - So, this is the first update of the year (on my birthday?! Why am I doing work on my birthday?!).  I've moved the last of 03's updates to the archive, and I'm completely updating all latest records/standings as well as other tid-bits around the website.  In news, Andrew moved back to Colorado (will be visiting here in about a week), and Matt has "un-disappeared."  If seasons get played soon, it will be Matt and I, but it's possible Andrew sends in TSB stuff from Colorado as well.  As for now...

There goes the Thnikkamaaaaan!

2003 - Update Archive

11/26/03 - My ability cannot be questioned.  Opening day, I not only blowout, not only murder, not only butt-rape and then murder...I straight up pull a Mike Tyson meets O.J. on em.  82-0 my Steelers over the Chargers.  Um...record much?  I only had about 250 yards total offense, but the Chargers?  0.  My defense and special teams were "All Up Ons!"  This was my favorite defense in Gen 1 and it has returned.  I wonder if I can beat my Giants record; which broke my Steelers record. (Note: I'm better now)

Also, I won my Bears superbowl and recorded it as usual.  I still feel bad about what I did...but dude!  It was insane what the Niners did to me in that game.  I was killing them and suddenly "BOOMTITTYSMACKWIGGITYWACKNOJUSTREGULARTYPE!"  I felt bad immediatly, so I said "if I lose again, I won't try again cuz that's way too cheap."  I wish I would have lost...lol.  If I don't catch Matt's streak record than I won't feel too bad....but if I do it will be like if Barry Bonds used steroids before his 73 home run season (not saying he did).  Just getting my point across.  At least I broke my personal streak record all the way to 61.  Ironically, I have an asterisked 61, just like Roger Maris' home run record.

I've added an updates archive section on the Personal Records page.  I'm doing it to save homepage space but also to be able to keep them all for later reference.  I have also updated all records and standings.

11/25/03 - I feel like I'm a scam.  I cheated...you see...I'm finishing up my Bears season, 17-0 (including Divisional playoff), and I'm facing the 49ers in the NFC Champipnship.  I was up 23-0 heading into the final minutes of the third quarter.  After a score, I kickoff, and to end the third quarter, Dexter Carter takes the kickoff all the way.  Niners are on the board but it's 23-7.  To start the 4th, they onside kick and recover.  They follow to scoot their way into the endzone.  (note, they had probably 0 total yards going into that Carter kickoff TD)  They kickoff to me, force a 3 and out and I punt away.  Again, Montana magic drives and puts another score on the board.  Suddenly it's 23-21!  I decide to hit F5 just in case I lose.  (cheap)  With less than 2 minutes remaining, they onside kick...and recover.  The first play they hit Carter (in for Rathman) on a flat and he takes it all the way up the sideline to the endzone.  Um, there's only 30 seconds left....I'm suddenly down 28-23.  I have one play from scrimmage and the QB throws a crappy, innacurate pass.  Game over.  ::Eff hits F7 to load::  Well, the scored again anyway, but this time around I hit Bailey (at WR) on a bomb for the game winning TD.

Scold me.  I cheated.  I'm going to put an asterisk on my winning streak at 61.  I'm confessing, turning myself in, whatever.  I should be in Tecmo jail for fraud.  50,000 credit bail...lol.  I'll update you on my SB status and the records later.

10/18/03 - I've finished my first generation.  I had a wild, record setting season with the NY Giants as well as another scary Superbowl.  I start "Generation II" with the Bears, but that isn't focus now.  I've made a few rule changes and am thinking of revising the points system.  Check out the rules to note any changes or forgotten rules.  As for the points system, I'll probably recount the points soon and then see if any changes need to be made to the system.  If anything, I'll probably include how many points are credited to the record holder in the parenthesis that contain the player name.  Example:  497 yards, Colts (cpu +2)

(update) I recounted the points and have added the points awarded/taken into the user parenthesis.  No major changes to the points or the system as of now.

10/17/03 - I completed my Browns season 16-0 and won the superbowl.  My winning streak, which started only a few days ago, is now at 25 games (including postseason).  The final game of the regular season was insane, and so was the superbowl against the Bears.  It was a fun season and I was only like 1% from the completion percentage record in a season.  Anyway, with the NY Giants as my next season, and final season of my first cycle, things are looking up for my winning streak.  Hell, maybe a few records too.  Matt set and still holds a group of records from his Giants season.  It should be fun to persue them, but I won't change the way I play; I'll just play my game and at the end, see if I did any record damage.  Catch ya at the end of my first TSB cycle.

10/15/03 - I ended up 15-1 and winning a close SB with the Falcons.  Being I only have the Browns and Giants left, I assigned each team to one side of a quarter; Giants are heads, Browns are tails.  I flipped the coin and it landed tails.  Obviously, my next season is the Browns.  Hey, at least I'll have QB Browns!  And Slaughter! And "Foghorn" Langhorne! And Kevin Mack "Daddy!" ::shakes head at self::  That defense is seriously slow...

10/15/03 - Ok, so it's not so bad.  I decided to get through this season, and am at 12-0 at this point with some scary close games.  I've updated the site with the past few seasons.  In online Tecmo news,  I'm in another online league called Classic Tecmo League.  I'm 1-0 in the CTL and the PTA offseason trading, drafting etc. will finally hit soon.  This = yay.

10/10/03 - I am officially striking against the 1991 Atlanta Falcons.  I refuse to continue my season with such a team.  After 2 games and then having a horrible experience in game 3, which I refused to save, I have had it with this team.  I would take the Pats or Colts over them any day.  I'm seriously thinking of quitting this season; or postponing it, and doing the Browns or Giants seasons I have left before I've used each team.  After these 3 seasons I'll be back to using any randomly picked team and starting the pattern over.  I'm thinking of comming up with a name for each series of use of all 28 teams.  Maybe "Generation I, Generation II" etc.  Anyway, I hate the Falcons on Tecmo; a lot.  I should sign a contract for "Will use all Tecmo NFL teams; but has a 'No Atlanta Falcons' clause."  I'm seriously thinking about it, lmao.  In other news, I've finished my Raiders season and then did a Jets season.  But I swear, these Falcons deserve to die.

9/25/03 - Ironically, following the last update, I started to really get back into Tecmo.  I've updated the site with my completed Rams season as well as a record here or there.  I'm currently in the middle of a Raiders season, but I've been playing around with roms a lot lately, and also playing Battlefield 1942, Madden, and Tecmo Superbowl on SNES.  I finished highschool, so now I'm really gaming, and gaming a lot.  It's great.  Anyway, site is updated, I'm back to Tecmoing (playing people AND Tecmo AI), and I'm finished with highschool.  Yay.  Matt e-mailed me a bit over a week ago, right before hurricane Isabel hit them hard.  I hope he and his family are ok and still have a home.  Major flooding in his area I believe.  He commented a lot on my Live Journal, which was very nice to see.  I hope it's not the last I see of him for a long time; let alone ever.

Ok, maybe that was slightly dramatic, but I have no clue either way, so I just hope worst case scenerio isn't the case.  Anyway, I'm back.

8/30/03 - Been wondering where the updates have been?  Well, the simple fact is, the Tecmo playing has stopped.  I rarely ever play, and when I do, it's usually online.  The new season in the PTA starts sometime this fall, and once you play online enough, playing against the Tecmo A.I. becomes pointless.  It's boring, dull, and predictable.  It's unfortunate, for I always loved playing Tecmo alone, but now it doesn't have the magic it once did.  Maybe I'll return to playing the computer whenever Matt decides to start comming online regularly.  For now, not much is expected to be happening around here.  Maybe I'll occasionally update how I do in the PTA on here.

3/26/03 - You've probably noticed the cosmetic changes to the website.  There are probably many changes to come.  I'm thinking about implementing tables onto the website and any other idea's I feel like using.  I've updated the standings but I'm moving very slowly through my Rams season.  I've mostly lost interest in playing the computer.  Also, Matt isn't around right now (hopefully he shows up soon) and Andrew simply has a retarded computer. (as well as not being computer savvy)  I might add some links or something to this website, but not in navigation.  Anyways, Laterz!

3/17/03 - Sure has been a while since I've updated the site eh?  Well, this isn't an update, lol.  Actually, I'm here to "update" you on why I havn't been around.  I simply havn't been playing my season.  Well, Matt came around in February for a few weeks but since has disappeared.  On a cool note, I got a team in the PTA. (go to puretecmo.com)  I'm the coach of the Bills, taking over for, what Artie says, was "the worst tecmoer i've ever seen."  Well, they were 0-9, but guess what, other than the really tough game against Artie and his insanely powerful and fast Patriots, I've won me a game.  So the Bills may be 1-10, but I'm 1-1 and ready to turn this team around.  Well, maybe I'll get to my season and try to update and all, however, I am going to make a website with my friend Heather and also make some other random website.  I am also going to hit the books and finish off my home schooling, so I will be busy.  Cya around

1/30/03 - There is a lot to say in this update, but I'll try to keep it brief.  First off, I finished my Lions season 14-2,as well as a Steelers season. (15-1)  I broke all of the best defensive yardage records with the Steelers. (Total, Passing, Rushing)  I guess you could call that "Eff's Steel Curtain of 1991" or something, lmao.  Also, Matt finally checked his mail and emailed me on the 28th.  Hopefully he starts comming online and Tecmoing with Andrew and I.  Additionally, the program made by my buddy Partyman66, "Tecmo Stat Extractor," could help this site get considerably more records.  We had been missing records like these individual records...

  • Most sacks in a game
  • Most interceptions in a game
  • Most all-purpose yards in a game
  • Most total offensive yards in a game
  • Most passing TD's in a game
  • Most rushing TD's in a game
  • Most Receiving TD's in a game

The list goes on and on.  We may have a tidal wave of new records comming within the next few weeks, especially if Matt shows up and we discuss the issue.  For now, no new records will be added, but don't be suprised if that 85 total records grows within a few weeks.  I may make a file with addition record ideas, but it won't become official until I consult Att and Rew.  Anyway, action may kick up soon, but it may not, we'll see, lol.

1/27/03 - Andrew completed a few seasons, I updated the records and also got a recorded superbowl of Andrews.  I forgot to record his Giants superbowl, but we know to record them from now on.  We're trying to get Tecmo on his new computer, but for some reason when he clicks to download them, it just does that lil blue bar thing really quick and stops, now that cpu has broadband, but you would think a download manager of sorts would come up.  He can't find the files on his comp either, so I may need to go there and take a lookie.  Anyway, that's whats going on. (besides me being in my new house now) lol Oh yeah, I'm probably going to be getting DSL within a month or 2, so no more AOL for me, but I'll just get AIM to keep in touch with buddies of coarse.

1/21/03 - Patriots season ends at 13-3 and I go to another superbowl, yet unlike my last lost superbowl, I didn't get whooped! lol  Actually, it was against the Giants, and I fought hard but the difference in team strength, speed and talent simply was the difference in a heartbreaking 26-23 loss.  Andrew got to play himself a good ammount of Tecmo the last day or 2, and he and I are going to work on getting him Tecmo on his computer.  I need to go try to check out and fix his computer though because he's having problems.  Also, I recorded the final 1:25 of this superbowl, but from now on I will be recording Andrew and my Superbowls.  Unfortunatly Nesticle doesn't work on Matt's computer so he won't be able to, unless he get's a new comp or gets it to work.  Anyway, the superbowls will be simply named, like "Eff_SB_XIX" which was my last superbowl.  For the illiterate, XIX is 19 in roman numerals.  The Superbowl roman numerals will be by season rather than our own number of appearances in the superbowl, so this being my 19th season makes it Superbowl XIX.  Also, I just got a counter to work on the main page finally as well as adding a guestbook to the site.  Well, enough jabber, I can't seem to get away from bad teams as I have the Lions next.

Happy Birthday grandma Geri.  R.I.P

1/08/03 - I finished my Vikings season 16-0, and then beat the Giants (2nd best team in TSB) in the divisional game.  I was missing 5 players on offense, including my starting QB Wade Wilson.  SO, after fighting my way to victory, I had to go on to play the best team in Tecmo!  Luckily 3 players returned, including Wilson, as I snuck by the 49ers 28-27.  I go on to the superbowl to face the Dolphins, and my remaining injured players return, so I'm now healthy.  Well, that didn't make a difference.  I turned the ball over 7 times. (5 lost fumbles, 2 interceptions)  That won't win a superbowl.  Anyway, I have to use the PATRIOTS next!  This is BAD!  I hope I even make the playoffs, lmao.

1/05/03 - Well, I'm about as shocked and happy as I can be. (besides having a cold and sore throat)  The 49ers made the 2nd biggest comeback in NFL playoff history today, and my cousin Andrew and I were faithful and confident through the whole game.  The Niners looked lame as hell, until 4 minutes left in the 3rd quarter.  All of a sudden, with a 24 point deficit, (38-14 Giants) Jeff Garcia and Terrell Owens went on fire and got the whole team and crowd going as they went downfield and scored at will.  The 49ers defense came alive as well, and it ends up an incredible comeback (with so much drama I can't explain it all) as the 49ers win 39-38.  It was the most incredible thing I have witnessed by the 49ers (or any team) in, well, ever.  Though I think "The Catch 2" in '98 against the Packers (Young to Owens) was the greatest moment in my life as a 49er fan.  Anyway, the update to the site is something overdue, and it's the removal of the southpark picture and the addition of a lil 49er symbol.  I may add other lil fooball pics here and there as well.  Go Niners!  On to Tampa Bay we go.
